Summary You will serve as the Senior Security Engineer for the Security Engineering (N66), Cybersecurity Department (N6), Hopper Global Communications Center (GCC) of HOPPER GLOBAL COMMUNICATIONS CENTER. Responsibilities You will maintain subject matter expertise on all Hopper GCC-N6 cybersecurity tools. You will act as the main point of contact for any inquiries into any aspect of Hopper GCC-N66 cybersecurity tools. You will ensure that acquired or developed system(s) and architecture(s) are consistent with Hopper GCC's cybersecurity architecture guidelines. You will perform security reviews, identifies gaps in security architecture, and develops a security risk management plan. Provides technical review from an information security perspective on enterprise change requests. You will write detailed functional specifications that document the architecture development process. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications I have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. Also, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following such as: Perform market research, plans, architects, procures, and oversees installation and maintenance of current and all future cybersecurity tools; Provide advice on project costs, design concepts, or design changes; AND Analyze candidate architectures, allocates security services, and selects security mechanisms. This designation requires: - The incumbent participates in continuous learning (CL) program as described in SECNAVINST 5239.20A and SECNAV M-5239.2. An annual 20 hour minimum of Cyber Workforce related continuous learning must be documented in a current individual development plan signed by both the employee and supervisor. - The incumbent must obtain the required credentials within 12 months of appointment and maintain credentials as described in SECNAV M-5231.2 for DCWF role of (652) Security Architect proficiency level (Advanced).
