Yes County Albany Street Address 10 British American Blvd City Latham State NY Zip Code 12110 Duties Description Under the direction of an Information Technology Specialist 4, SG25, the Information Technology Specialist 3, will work within the O365 Support unit of the Information Technology Operations and Infrastructure section. The incumbents primary responsibilities are managing and monitoring OAG’s O365/M365 services and infrastructure including cloud and hybrid environments. The candidate will assist with the day-to-day administration and support of all O365 productivity and collaboration tools while working with agency staff and other IT teams to ensure all requests and project tasks are completed successfully and satisfactorily. Duties: • Manage and monitor OAG’s O365 services including both production and test cloud and hybrid environments. • Manage the OAG’s O365 tenants and all associated products including, but not limited to, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, ExpressRoute, Entra Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) and other services. • Administration and monitoring of Proofpoint on Demand email filtering subscription. • Administration and monitoring of Exchange Online Protection and Advanced Threat Protection (ATP). • Administration and monitoring of O365 security policies, alerts, suspicious user activities and data loss prevention (DLP). • Administration of on-premises Exchange hybrid environment and Entra AD Connect servers. • Exchange administration tasks including, but not limited to creation of remote mailboxes, shared mailboxes, distribution lists, Groups, calendaring, mailbox access, contacts, etc. • Manage users, groups, and resources in on-premises Active Directory as well as licenses and permissions for O365 products/services. • Create and manage permissions and access for user requested SharePoint sites. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with user email access and accounts providing timely and effective support. • Deliver support for full suite of applications within the Office 365 suite including Exchange Online OneDrive, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Power Platform. • Keep abreast of the latest O365 features and updates, and ensure any actions needed to prepare for upcoming changes have been put in place. • Process O365 compliance tasks such as litigation holds/preservations/FOILs/email pulls. • Write or maintain scripts using PowerShell or Microsoft Graph API to automate or optimize O365 related tasks. • Other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications: • 3 years experience with O365 Administration and troubleshooting. • 2 years experience with SharePoint/OneDrive Administration and troubleshooting. • 2 years experience with Teams Administration and troubleshooting. • 3 years experience with administration of Microsoft Exchange 2016 or Exchange 2019. • Experience with Office 365, Exchange, SharePoint, PowerApps PowerShell scripts. • Experience with services such as DLP, Retention Policies, Email Encryption, and Threat Protection. • Experience configuring or synchronizing AAD connect. • Experience with configuring and troubleshooting Entra MFA. • Experience with ServiceNow modules including change control, incident management and requests. • Superior attention to detail, problem solving capabilities and multitasking skills. • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, ability to work independently and cooperatively with various IT units. A bachelor's degree in any field including or supplemented by 15 semester credit hours in computer science and two years of experience; or a bachelor's or higher-level degree in any field and three years of experience; or an associate degree with 15 semester credit hours in a computer science field and four years of experience.For appointment to an Information Technology Specialist 3 Programming (SG-23), you must have:1. Five years of professional experience in computer programming which must have involved the planning, configuration, testing, implementation, and/or management of the systems environment that supports the organization's information technology architecture and business needs.OR2. A bachelor's degree in any field including or supplemented by 15 semester credit hours in computer science with at least 9 semester credit hours in programming languages and two years of experience in computer programming; or a bachelor's or higher level degree in any field and three years of experience in computer programming; or an associate degree with 15 semester credit hours in programming languages and four years of experience in computer programming.
