Responsibilities You will perform work involving a wide range of IT activities that include architecture and infrastructure planning and management, capital planning and investment control, policy and standards development, training, and resource management. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining strategic plans, assessing policy needs and developing policies. You will conduct audits of IT projects and programs; prepare IT budgets, and establish metrics to measure and evaluate systems performance. You will provide technical assistance to tenant and user activities on matters of engineering including functional layout, technical requirements, and standards. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Communicates assignments, milestones and deadlines to professional employees highly skilled in specialized network related technical disciplines. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Identifies problems and specific issues in assigned areas and conduct preliminary analyses of systems to determine nature of requirements, logical work and information flows. In addition, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing project management, developing plans and schedules, estimating resource requirements, defining milestones, monitoring activities; applying policy and planning formulation process; drafting IT policies and plans; IT capital planning process; AND monitoring contractor's work to ensure conformance to plans and specifications. Tour of duty will be 24 months.
