Infotainment Engineer

Our Client, an Automotive company, is looking for an Infotainment Engineer for their Portland, OR location. Responsibilities:
+ Support the System Owner for Infotainment and Feature Owner for Truck App Portal, focusing on requirements and specification creation (50%), project coordination (30%) and validation (20%).
+ Align, create, and manage functional requirements and specifications.
+ Write functional, HMI, and feature specifications while ensuring traceability of requirements through the development lifecycle.
+ Collaborate closely with global Daimler Truck business units and stakeholders to ensure requirements are well-defined, understood, and aligned across teams.
+ Conduct component verification and validation activities to ensure system and feature functionalities meet requirements.
+ Oversee project responsibilities, including stakeholder communication, milestone planning, and risk management, to meet on-time delivery goals.
+ Coordinate work packages, schedules, and supplier interactions to ensure project alignment and smooth delivery across global teams.
Requirements:
+ 1-3 years in systems engineering with a focus on requirements engineering and systems integration.
+ Must have experience with infotainment system (radios, multimedia, CarPlay, Android Auto, phone connectivity, …)
+ Minimum of a BA in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering.
+ Experience with requirements management tools (such as DOORS) and project tracking tools like Jira. Knowledge of version control (GIT) and CI/CD tools like Jenkins is a plus.
+ Preferred Experience: App store-related projects

+ Collaboration and communication with both technical and non-technical teams to ensure alignment and timely project delivery.

+ Infotainment/ researching what is out there and studying portfolios with other companies
+ Specification coordinating and gathering info Specification writing- working with the team to determine each step and where the project is at Working with projects and other departments Examining testing sites- writing, managing and running test cases
+ System level testing handoff Tracking software issues and aligning with teams that may be impacted Retesting
+ Speaking to interested candidates:
+ Interesting and challenging topic with the opportunity to shape the AOR
+ Experience with ECU development / Ability to meet deadlines
+ Testing experience / Ability to communicate with the team another department
