The Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit in CGI is a true IT Systems Integrator. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solution Architect to join our team, initially to support a key project aimed at enhancing the resilience of current system architecture. In this role, you will play a vital part in discovering, assessing, and improving the existing infrastructure, and in shaping the future by supporting the procurement and installation of equipment for a new data centre.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the overall solution design process, ensuring technical coherence and alignment with business needs.
• Support the technical team in assessing the existing system architecture and help to develop and evaluate proposed solutions.
• Produce and update technical design documentation, including high-level and low-level designs (HLDs/LLDs), build plans, and test documentation.
• Review design, test, and implementation plans, providing input to ensure successful project delivery.
• Collaborate closely with Infrastructure and Network Engineers, ensuring that infrastructure and network changes are aligned with the project objectives.
• Translate complex technical requirements into clear, actionable outcomes that support business objectives.
