We are looking for an Infrastructure Controller to join our Global Business Services - Verbund Controlling team in Freeport, TX.

The Infrastructure Controller is responsible for cost accounting related functions for the Site Utilities & Infrastructure Maintenance organization including preparation of annual budget and forecasting, utility rate valuation, maintenance recharge rates, reporting of costs and analysis of spending all while fostering a continuous improvement mindset. You will partner with utilities and maintenance management to identify and drive opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency increases; proactively drive awareness of those opportunities, striving for results through the development of KPIs, and report on achievements while compiling, reconciling, analyzing, summarizing, as well as reporting/presenting costs monthly to site/business/corporate management based on your participation in Operations review meetings and Accounting Team meetings.
**As a Infrastructure Controller, you create chemistry by...**
+ Budgeting and Forecasting: You will support the development and maintenance of the Utility & Infrastructure organizations fixed cost & capital budgets and forecasting, as well as collaborating with various departments to gather relevant financial data and provide insights for budget planning and variance analysis.
+ Working on Cost Control and Financial Analysis: You will monitor and analyze costs and variances to identify areas for improvement (e.g., cost-saving opportunities), and conduct financial analysis and provide insights on key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational improvements and identify financial risks and opportunities.
+ Providing Auditing and Compliance Support: You will support internal and external audit activities, develop accounting controls and control spreadsheets to complete service allocations and residual analysis and adjustments, as well as assisting in maintaining effective internal controls to support Financial Reporting Compliance and ensure compliance with company policies and requirements.
+ Supporting Monthly and Annual Reporting: You will support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including review of cost allocations, accruals, and journal entries when needed. In addition, you will provide transparency of costs to businesses/functions and be able to provide suggestions for fixed and variable cost control efficiency, as well as reviewing and validating site-relevant topics such as Regional Cost Trends and Peak cost development.
+ Supporting Digitalization: You will support opportunities for automation and streamlining to improve efficiency and accuracy in processes and reporting, and collaborate with our Service Hub (Montevideo) and other Verbund sites to align on digital best practices (e.g., reporting dashboards).
+ Serving as Project Support: You will be an information source regarding Capital Policy and assist in the evaluation of economic portfolios to determine feasibility of Capital projects.
**If you...**
+ Have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting (preferred) or Finance. Having a CPA, CMA and/or MBA will be a plus.
+ Possess 7+ years of relevant work experience. Previous Site Controlling experience will be desireable.
+ Are proficient in MS Office and Power BI
+ Have working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, etc.)
+ Have good communication skills, including elaborating different types of documents and presentations, as well as the ablility to interpret and act on data insights
