Infrastructure Debt Portfolio Manager

The role is responsible for originating, analysing and executing infrastructure debt investment opportunities with a focus on the Americas, and supporting capital raising efforts.

As our Infrastructure Debt Portfolio Manager you will:

Originate and execute appropriate investment grade and non-investment grade infrastructure debt investments, with a focus on the AmericasMaintain and develop an origination network in the Americas with banks, advisors, sponsors, borrowers, other investors and with HSBC banking affiliatesSupport fundraising activities and product development in co-operation with the Private Credit product specialistsSupport reporting to clients and handling of material waivers/amendments/restructurings related to the portfolio in co-operation with the Portfolio Monitoring teamSupport sustainable investment goals and initiatives Support the handling of client queries and client calls in co-operation with Investor RelationsLiaise as necessary with other internal functions (e.g. Legal, Compliance, Risk) and external service providers (e.g. fund administrators, auditors)Be a role model and set high standards for performance and behaviour within the team Develop junior team members of the investment team as well as helping teach new members of the team about our investment process and philosophy

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $171,700.00 and $257,500.00

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

Strong experience in leading investment due diligence and credit assessment for investment grade and non-investment grade infrastructure debt investments, including handling material post-trade waivers/consentsSuccessful origination of investment grade and non-investment grade infrastructure debt investments in various sectorsClose relationships with banks and debt advisorsStrong stakeholder management skills, with banks, clients, potential clients and internal stakeholdersUp-to-date knowledge of global infrastructure debt marketExperience of enhancing team processes (e.g. origination, client management, portfolio management, investment process)Experience of coaching and mentoring more junior team members
