Infrastructure Engineer
Description We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Chattanooga, Tennessee. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting technical operations, ensuring robust system performance, and assisting clients during high-impact scenarios. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities: • Provide technical support during client engagements, adhering to established restoration processes and achieving project targets. • Utilize available resources effectively to ensure the success of engagement workstreams. • Coordinate and manage restoration-specific tasks, maintaining clear communication with both internal teams and external clients. • Attend client-facing collaboration sessions as needed, monitoring communications on platforms like Teams, Slack, and Signal. • Use discretion in sensitive client communications, particularly in cases involving data breaches or critical incidents. • Deliver daily updates to internal stakeholders on the progress of client engagements. • Document troubleshooting processes and develop client-specific technical procedures as required. • Offer technical support across regional and international client engagements, adapting to various time zones. • Perform forensic collections on endpoint systems, virtual hosts, and appliances, ensuring accurate data handling and advanced troubleshooting. • Assist with system migrations and configurations involving Active Directory, VMware, Hyper-V, and other technologies. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering or a related field. • Proficiency in Active Directory, including domain controller replacement, role configurations, and system state backups. • Advanced knowledge of VMware and Hyper-V, with the ability to perform migrations, discoveries, and administrative tasks. • Strong skills in routing and switching, including static routing and troubleshooting route tables. • Experience with backup solutions, including running restoration jobs and verifying data integrity. • Capability to deploy and troubleshoot endpoint protection and security solutions across various operating systems. • Familiarity with forensic data collection and advanced troubleshooting techniques. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage sensitive client interactions effectively.
