Summary
The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for installing, maintaining and supporting various flavors of operating systems and the systems that support it.  The candidate will evaluate and install patches, resolve hardware or software related problems, and ensure that the data and applications that run on the systems is always available, secure and protected. 
 
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and support Windows servers.
- Manage server storage and backups
- Install and configure new hardware and software
- Maintain system and application performance standards
- Participate in a team environment both locally and abroad
- Follow a strict change control process when making changes
- Prepare technical documentation and share accordingly
- Manage, handle and resolve all system incidents following a defined SLA
- Design, evaluate and implement cost-effective, scalable and secure systems
- Work with various database, networking, and enterprise application teams to solve simple and complex technological issues
- Participation in after-hours project or maintenance work (nights & weekends)
- Share on-call responsibility
 
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of related work experience
- In-Depth knowledge of Operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and VMWare
- Scripting skills such as PowerShell
- Familiarity with Active Directory, and LDAP
- Good understanding of IP networking, routing, VLANs and Fiber SAN technologies
- Possess strong technical, analytical, troubleshooting skills
- Experience with system management and monitoring tools
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
- A self-starter and professional who can successfully bring projects to closure with a minimum of direction, guidance and oversight
- Excellent time management skills that support a balance of strategic and tactical activities.
