Purpose of Role:
The Infrastructure Engineer applies specialist on-premise and cloud technology expertise to build, improve, and upgrade infrastructure systems across multiple platforms including VMware, EMC, Office 365, Azure, AWS, and Microsoft Domain Services. The ability to analyze systems and come up with enhancements is fundamental for this role.
The Infrastructure Engineer role works with the Global IT Infrastructure team in Asia, Europe, and North America to monitor and maintain the infrastructure systems to ensure maximum uptime and service delivery to the business.

The Technology Department delivers differentiation, scalability and security for the business. Reporting to the COO, Technology provides digital tools, software services and infrastructure globally to all business groups. Software development and support teams work in agile ‘streams' aligned to specific business areas. Our other teams work enterprise-wide to provide critical services including our global service desk, network and system infrastructure, IT operations, security, enterprise architecture and design.
IT runs Marex's enterprise-wide services to end users and actively manages the firm's infrastructure and data to provide and accelerate business value. A Data team enables the firm to leverage data to increase productivity and improve business decisions, as well as maintain data compliance. The Infrastructure group delivers operations and engineering across Infrastructure Operations, Network, Communications, Endpoint and Platform Engineering teams.
Infrastructure Operations is responsible for the stability, scalability, and reliability of Marex's global technology platforms. This team ensures seamless day-to-day operations across cloud and on-premises environments, including Azure, AWS, VMware, Citrix, storage services, and Office 365 products. By leveraging automation, proactive monitoring, and best practices in site reliability engineering (SRE), Infrastructure Operations minimizes downtime, optimizes performance, and enhances security. The team collaborates closely with business units to drive innovation, streamline processes, and support Marex's strategic technology initiatives.
Responsibilities:
+ Drive infrastructure automation initiatives and operational efficiency.
+ Develop and enforce best practices for Infrastructure as Code.
+ Oversee the implementation of SRE principles to improve system reliability.
+ Define automation roadmaps and ensure alignment with business objectives.
+ Collaborate with global teams to standardise automation frameworks and operational processes.
+ Drive platform migration and modernization efforts across Azure, AWS, VMware, Citrix, storage services, and Office 365 products.
+ Establish proactive monitoring and observability strategies using tools like Splunk, Grafana, and Opsgenie
+ Participate in on-call rotations and incident response to minimize downtime.
+ Ensure compliance with security and governance standards while implementing automation.
+ Be available on weekends to carry out infrastructure changes.
+ Participate in Agile working methodology, delivering projects in sprints.
+ Follow the change control process for making changes to the production environment.
+ Ensuring compliance with the company's regulatory requirements under the SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC and other applicable exchanges.
+ Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.

Skills and Experience
+ At least eight (8) years of experience in infrastructure automation, SRE, and engineering roles.
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field desired
+ Relevant certifications (AWS, Azure, Office 365, VMware) are a plus
+ Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform, BitBucket Pipeline).
+ Proficiency in automation and scripting languages (Python, PoweShell
+ Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), VMware, Citrix, storage services, and Office 365 Products.
+ Strong understanding of observability, logging, and monitoring frameworks.
+ Experience working in Agile environments and driving automation scale.
+ Ability to influence technical decisions and drive innovation in infrastructure automation.
Salary Range: $100,000 to $140,000 per year and eligible for discretionary bonus.
