Infrastructure Engineer- Hybrid Reston, VA Arlington, Virginia **Hybrid** Contract $60/hr - $75/hr Infrastructure Engineer The company is located in **Herndon, VA and will be a hybrid model of 2 days onsite a week.** **What You Will Be Doing:** As a key member of our DevOps team, you will: + Assist on-site commissioning teams with network and server troubleshooting to ensure successful project completion. + Manage and expand lab infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, and Linux servers, to support development teams. + Train commissioning teams on standard solutions to empower their self-sufficiency. + Engage in effective communication and project discussions with customers. + Assist in the design, implementation, and management of our site-to-cloud architecture. + Develop network architecture documentation and user guides to streamline future engineering efforts. + Provide training, operational support, and input on feature roadmaps. + Assist with security and compliance projects as needed. + Suggest product development and feature enhancements. + Contribute to the management of our cloud network environment. **Required Skills & Experience:** + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (Computer, Electrical, Mechanical), IT, or equivalent experience. + 2+ years working in industrial networking environments; experience in the power industry is highly preferred. + At least 1 year working with cloud-native technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus. + 2+ years of Linux system administration experience preferred. + 2+ years working with virtualization technologies, including VMs and containers. + 2+ years of experience with TCP/IP networking and configuring equipment such as switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, and VLANs.
