As an Infrastructure Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate and Investment Banking Team, you develop knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Through this work you begin to apply your proficiency in a single application or technical methodology.
Job responsibilities

 

Applies technical knowledge to assignments with a defined scope such as testing the performance of the infrastructure and understanding and verifying that requirements were successfully met Drives results, collects and analyzes monitoring data in test and production, and sees assignments through to completion Carries out day to day work assignments with some guidance and within documented parameters Resolves most nuances and determines appropriate escalation path Executes conventional approaches to build or break down technical problems Drives the daily activities supporting the standard capacity process applications Partners with application and infrastructure teams to identify potential capacity risks and govern remediation statuses Considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications Oversees significant decision making for a project consisting of multiple technologies and applications

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience Strong knowledge of one or more infrastructure disciplines such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, and performance assessments Familiarity with security protocols and products, including Active Directory, Windows Authentication, SAML, and OAuth. In-depth knowledge of computer science data structures and algorithms, coupled with strong problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of one specific infrastructure technology and basic programming languages or database management systems (Java, PERL, Python) Intermediate understanding of line of business technology drivers and their impact on architecture design Experience with multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds Develops knowledge of infrastructure engineering domains, data fluency, and automation  Proficient knowledge in the following key areas: Hardware Architecture (performance testing, monitoring, operations), Hardware Benchmarking (program management, network management), Design (compliance, security), Network Engineering (planning, provision)   Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Proficient in Go or Shell scripting Understanding of Financial Services and key drivers of business performance
