As an Infrastructure Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the IP Specialty Platform and Services, you utilize strong knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Job responsibilities:
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or related discipline. 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise troubleshooting, resolving, and supporting Database services Troubleshooting and resolve AWS RDS database issues in critical production environments, ensuring minimal disruption and maintaining system reliability. Strong knowledge of one or more scripting languages (e.g., Scripting, Python, etc.). In-depth knowledge of Oracle database architecture, including RAC, ASM, and Data Guard. Strong expertise in SQL query optimization, indexing strategies, and database profiling tools. Proficient in using real-time monitoring tools like Splunk and Grafana. Hands-on with CDB & PDB architecture, design and implementation. Experience in configuring and managing Oracle RAC, Clusterware, Grid infrastructure, Oracle ASM, OEM and GoldenGate. Excellent understanding, installing, administering and working knowledge of Oracle 12c through 19c databases. Hands-on with Oracle Database migration/upgrade using different methodologies Data Pump & RMAN Transportable Tablespaces.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager and other performance monitoring tools. Experience with RMAN database backup and recovery using ZDLRA. Apply process and architectural improvements to continually improve the availability, capacity, and performance of database systems · Communicate appropriately and efficiently with management, customers, and vendors Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Required to work on weekends/outside regular business hours to support Payments which involves collaborating with various platform teams and partnering with the business to ensure swift resolutions and prevent any business disruptions. Proven experience as an Oracle Database Administrator with a focus on performance tuning and AWS cloud migration and support will be advantage
