Infrastructure Engineering Advisor (Operations)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Operations Engineer to oversee and optimize our technical Azure Cloud infrastructure and operational processes. In this role, you’ll be reporting to the DevOps Manager and be part of the DevOps team. You'll be responsible for maintaining system reliability, implementing monitoring solutions, and driving operational excellence. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with a data-driven approach to problem-solving, focusing on system performance, availability, and efficiency. You'll work closely with DevOps, QA, and development teams to ensure smooth operations while implementing automation and best practices to improve system reliability and reduce manual intervention.

The Operations Engineer will play a crucial role in:

Implementing and maintaining monitoring and alerting mechanismsDriving incident response and resolutionDeveloping and tracking operational metrics

Key Responsibilities

Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability using tools like Dynatrace, Grafana, Azure Dashboards, App Insights, and Azure MonitoringProactively identify, report, and troubleshoot operational issuesConduct root cause analysis and implement preventive corrective actionsAutomate routine tasks, deployments, and operational workflowsContinuously optimize system performance, resource utilization, and processesDocument system configurations and operational proceduresGenerate regular performance and operational metrics reportsCollaborate with DevOps, Software Engineering, and support teams to enhance system reliabilityCommunicate effectively during incidents and project updatesDefine, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level indicators (SLIs)Develop and implement measurement strategies for continuous improvementParticipate in Agile Scrum ceremonies

Required Qualifications

Proven experience in Operations, Systems, or DevOps rolesProficiency with Azure cloud and cloud infrastructureLinux and Windows administration skills with scripting abilitiesStrong understanding of network infrastructure and security principlesExpertise in metrics collection, analysis, and visualizationKnowledge of release management and deployment processesExperience with container orchestration systems (Kubernetes and Helm)Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Prisma Cloud securityKnowledge of High Availability/Disaster Recovery (HA/DR) and Resiliency principlesFamiliarity with CI/CD tools (GitLab, Azure DevOps, GitHub)Understanding of microservices architecture and cloud best practicesProficiency with containerization technologies (Kubernetes, Azure containers, Docker)Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
