About the role

A strong but understanding and open-minded IT professional is required to act as ambassador to certain entities and evolving systems across the EMEA region, and sometimes beyond, facilitating relations and acting as point person for non-standard activities and technical projects. Specifically, in conjunction with our teams of engineers, security operations and support, the position will be responsible for technical integrations including supporting the due diligence process for acquisitions.

Occupying a key position within the Infrastructure leadership team, international travel will be required for this personable and technologically sound relationships expert, supporting a range of activities, teams and projects that have not yet found their place in our technical structure or organisation. Similarly, participation in technical audits may be required, to help ensure consistency across the region and the company as a whole.

This is not a sales position but could be appealing to somebody from a technical pre-sales environment who is able to understand and react accordingly for the greater good of the company. The role holder will be expected to bring an unbiased and impartial opinion to the table, to ensure company interests are protected whilst solutions are selected, designed and implemented. This role also requires the common sense to steer troubleshooting of issues, management of projects and be able to mentor and develop staff as required across the region.

Experience and skills
 

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the IT industryExperience in management of teams and individualsNatural leadership ability with and without formal reporting linesDemonstrable track record in delivering technological environmentsHighly analytical in problem solving with the ability to apply original and innovative thinkingDisplay and apply knowledge of generic infrastructure technologies and industry wisdomA high level of oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with senior managers, colleagues and other stakeholdersAble to work under pressure and think clearly, and in a logical manner, in challenging and often politically sensitive situationsFlexibility in approach and be comfortable with a fluid organisational structure that requires both teamwork and self-sufficiency as necessary, with the ability to work under minimal supervision

Complete fluency in the English language is essential. Other languages would be beneficial.
