Description:

We are searching for people who strive to complete tasks efficiently and possess strong troubleshooting skills.

\n

This role consists of communicating with engineers who are working on customer locations across the globe in various industries such as energy (hydro, nuclear, solar), aeronautics, automotive, manufacturing, etc.

\n

As an Applications Technical Engineers, you will be responsible for capturing all relevant information related to the fault, troubleshoot the issue, and identify a solution or workaround while constantly communicating the results of your analysis with each customer.

\n

You will be required to research and troubleshoot issues involving all aspects of the Brilliant Manufacturing Solution including automation, data collection/storage, visualization, analytics and manufacturing execution software and associated control systems, hardware infrastructure, and interfaces to enterprise systems such as ERP, PLM and Quality.

\n

Technical Requirements:

\n\n Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on design and implementation experience involving; Technical Engineering Systems, Hardware / Software Engineering, IT/Networking and/or Electrical Design\n Strong Ticket Systems Experience\n Commercial low-voltage electricity basic knowledge\n Strong troubleshooting background in client-server application architecture\n Experience with troubleshooting Microsoft Windows Server environment. Azure, AD\n Familiar with Cloud computing fundamentals\n Understanding of network topologies and how to troubleshoot network failure\n Familiar with diagnosing performance related issues\n Providing technical training when needed (sales & marketing) and create SOPs and training documentation to aid Tier I/II support staff\n Perform system and electronics testing on customer-returned hardware and determination of failure root causes\n Exceptional Customer Care skills\n\n

Required Characteristics:

\n\n Open to learn new technologies used in the IoT industry\n Curious and driven to self-learn or research where information is not easily available or unknown\n Exceptional Analytical Skills - Ability to diagnose, reproduce and solve complex faults\n Ability to quickly reproduce a customer problem, isolate cause, and drive resolution\n Strong common sense and logical reasoning skills.\n Speak, write and dream in English\n Exceptional written and oral communication skills\n Know your way around dealing with potential angry customers while on the phone\n Positive can-do attitude and a Team player\n Willing to work in shifts\n Time-Management Skills\n\n


 Desired Characteristics:

\n\n Expertise in current Linux Operating Systems, Networking, Security\n Troubleshooting experience with standard communication and networking protocols including TCP/IP (v4/v6), ZigBee, BLE, GSM/BLE… \n Understands cyber security and cryptography (basic)\n Expertise ln SQL Server and/or Oracle, including debugging stored procedures\n Expertise in JavaScript, HTMLS or other programming languages (analyze, debug)\n Expertise in TCP/IP & WCF client/server communication\n Expertise in IIS and Apache web servers\n Expertise in debugging web applications through IE and Chrome\n Expertise in Cloud computing fundamentals\n Experience with New Relic \n General Experience (installation/troubleshooting) – HVAC, Lighting, Refrigeration; ex. Air conditioning equipment.\n\n
