Job Description

The opportunity

As a Wintel Infrastructure Reliability Engineer, you will be part of the infrastructure operations engineering team. You will be working with some of the latest infrastructure technologies and methodologies to design, implement, migrate, and maintain the Azure cloud server infrastructure, as well as being involved in our key project work.

You will report into the Windows Infrastructure Operations Lead and support the maintenance and operation of our infrastructure including, but not limited to VMs, PaaS and AKS infrastructure

What we are looking for

10+ years of overall infrastructure experience and current expertise with windows server management in an Azure cloud infrastructure production environmentAzure infrastructure management experience with a focus on both VM and PaaS environmentsExpertise in infra services, security concepts and best practices, virtualization, storage, and database technologiesWindows server administration and related services (Active Directory, DNS, RDS, DHCP, etc.)Server builds, server configuration, server deployments plus patching and hardeningPerform server security hardening plus managing and supporting on-going patch management processesKnowledge of software deployment technologies, configuration management and patch management proceduresExperience with compliance and audit activities for enforcement of policies, standards, and proceduresFamiliarity with scripting and programming (batch, PowerShell, shell script and VB)Experience with IT transformation, data center consolidations and migrationsUnderstanding of and experience with ITIL processesStrong adherence to change management ProcessA solid understanding of risk, security, and compliance requirements and best practicesGood understanding of networking infrastructure and network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, firewalls, LAN/WAN, DHCP, Load balancing, Replication, SSH)Able to support enterprise infrastructure and assist in the day-to-day operation of the teamStrong and reliable team player with the ability to manage change and work independentlySolid understanding of project scheduling and task driven project work
