PURPOSE OF JOB/POSITION

As Infrastructure Solution engineer, you will be empowered to design, develop, and enable products on Takeda platforms. In this role, you will contribute to Takeda’s mission by leading the development and adoption of solutions that align to architecture principles and best practices as well as business needs.

Support migration, designing new applications or platform services to provide technical acceleration and value for Takeda’s patient communities.Consulting and customer-obsession: establish strong relationships with Takeda GD&T and DD&T product teams and aligning objectives platform strategic objectives.Enable operational teams as well as application owners / project teams to deploy or move application workloads from on-premises to cloud through appropriate review and guidance processes.Contribute to the production-ready architectural design of Takeda business applications, focusing on IaaS / PaaS designs in alignment with Takeda’s policies, standards, guidelines and reference materials.
 

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Design application workloads or other required infrastructure using well architected principles, optimized patt`erns and non-negotiable guardrails.Provide guidance with cost optimization and application/infrastructure redundancy efforts.Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Infrastructure, Development and Engineering platform family, architecture principles, standards, blueprints, patterns, and reference architectures / implementation which enable improved business outcomes.Collaborate with infrastructure solution deployment, platform and operations teams to solve problems specific to business applications.Use in-dept knowledge and experience with infrastructure architecture, design, data, system thinking and standards to advise product teams on best practices for design.From time to time, report on the state Takeda workloads in a specific domain or business unit to leadership

CORE ELEMENTS RELATED TO THIS ROLE

This role will be the platform architecture leader for PEP for global Takeda, focusing on driving improved business outcomes through a global common platform approachAs a member of the architecture and modernization team, this role will enable and support project teams and business teams in designing optimized solutions which drive reuse, improved efficiencies and remove / reduce Takeda’s technical debt.As owner of Takeda’s long-term PEP technology roadmap, this individual works with many key stakeholders and helps to drive platform maturity (primarily skills development, process improvement, and tools / technology improvement) and adoption
 

DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS

Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise 

Broad and demonstrable knowledge on Infrastructure and AWS platforms required, including serverless, containers and modern application hosting.Firm and practical experience/competency with Infrastructure Security Best Practice.Understanding of applicable regulatory compliance requirements surrounding PHI, PII, SOX, and GxP. 

Complexity (Products managed, mix of businesses, internal and/or external business environment, cultural considerations) 

Supports project work as assignedFunctions as a global resource to teams in US, EUCAN, GEM, and Japan

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience.4 + years of experience spanning multiple IT disciplines, including technical architecture, network management, application development, database management or operations.Experience as a solutions architect.Strong “soft skills” and communication skills.Experience with AWS, Azure, and/or VMWare public/private cloud implementations.Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments in a globally distributed organization.Experience working in an Agile/SAFe environment.
