Infrastructure Specialist Cloud Application Operations
CTG is seeking to fill an Infrastructure Specialist Cloud Application Operations opening for our client in El Segundo, CA. Location: El Segundo, CA Duration: 9 months Duties: Manage and oversee the cloud application infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cloud services are aligned with business objectives and technical requirements. Troubleshoot, monitor, and resolve incidents and service disruptions across cloud applications and infrastructure. Manage the integration and deployment of cloud services, ensuring proper configurations and automation where possible. Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Jira, supporting its integration with cloud environments and ensuring efficient use across teams. Coordinate with cloud service providers to ensure smooth service delivery, including managing escalations as necessary. Implement and manage monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes to maintain system health. Provide recommendations for cloud application optimization and cost efficiency. Participate in the planning and execution of cloud infrastructure upgrades and migrations. Create and maintain detailed documentation regarding cloud infrastructure and application operations. Skills: In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure management (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Expertise in Jira, including workflows, configurations, and administration. Proficient in monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident management. Strong understanding of cloud security best practices. Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Bash, or similar). Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools. Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical teams. Experience: 3+ years of experience in cloud application operations or a similar infrastructure-focused role. 2+ years of experience working with Jira as an SME (Subject Matter Expert). Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and services. Prior experience with system monitoring and incident management tools. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
