Infusion Therapy RN - Per Diem
The starting rate for this position is: $32.48/hr Rate of pay displayed reflects the beginning of the pay scale. At the time of an offer, determination of your offer will reflect your skills and experience as it relates to the position. JOB SUMMARY Under the direction of the director of outpatient specialty services, the ordering provider, and the Medical Director, within the scope of his/her license and scope of training, utilizing age related criteria as needed, and using appropriate nursing processes, evaluates patients and performs infusions and infusion procedures. Prepares patient for procedures, after appropriate training and check-off, utilizes appropriate patient care equipment such as blood pressure cuffs, stethoscope, IV pumps, port a caths etc. Assists, when requested, with performance improvement activities, departmental organization, medical necessity checking, and supply stocking. Participates in departmental and hospital-wide committee/projects. Assists, when requested, with performance improvement activities, departmental organization and supply stocking. Works closely with the Inpatient Departments for good patient care continuity. Participates in departmental and hospital-wide committee/projects. Per Diem Positions: Within the scope of his/her license and scope of training, utilizing age related criteria as needed, and using appropriate nursing processes, evaluates and assesses wounds, performs wound care procedures (dressing change, debridement, etc.). Prepares patient care plans, after appropriate training and check-off, utilizes appropriate patient care equipment such as blood pressure cuffs, stethoscope, transcutaneous monitors and hyperbaric chambers. Will be required to cross train in Wound Care. 3 to 5 years of infusion and/or wound experience a plus. At least one-year acute care experience required. Must have good critical thinking skills, be flexible and a team player but able to work independently. Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Experience with computerized documentation a plus. JOB REQUIREMENTS Education: Current Maine RN license BLS and required within 30 days of hire Bachelor's Degree preferred Other Skills Required: Must be a team player, have strong communication skills as well the ability to multi-task.
