The quality engineer is responsible for maintaining the quality management system, customer satisfaction, quality certifications, quality related aspects of supplier and contract manufacturer relationship, training, quality audits, corrective and preventive action, development of a quality culture and drive continuous quality improvement within the manufacturing organization which also includes the laboratories. Responsibilities: + Ensure the quality process operates in a safe and ethical way consistent with Chemours core values. + Support or lead Process Safety Management (PSM) activities. + Assist in dispositioning off-spec production/non-conforming product. + Ensure product is release in timely manner, including the follow-up of property release samples and or testing. + Identify and implement solutions to manufacturing issues related to quality. + Monitor raw material performance and fit for use as it relates to productivity. + Support continuous improvement efforts. + Interface directly with customers to support sample testing, complaints and ensure problem resolution. + Support or lead Quality Management System (QMS) within the organization. + Conduct and coordinate internal audits so ta the QMS standards are sustained. + Support manufacturing in maintaining document control such as standard practice, standard operating procedures, checklists, testing etc.. + Compile and present quality performance data. + May conduct 1st party and coordinate 2nd and 3rd party quality audits such as ISO, OEA, customer audits etc... + Collaborate with cross-functional teams. + Operation, troubleshooting an general maintenance of analytical equipment (Gas Chromatography, Titrators, Ph meter, balances, ovens etc..) + Analyze standards to verify functionality of equipment and calibration of instruments to produce accurate test results. + Maintain lab equipment parts/supplies/chemical inventory. + Enter samples and data into the Lab Information Management System (LIMS) system and retrieve data as required. The following is required for this role: + Bachelor Science in Chemical/Industrial Engineer or equivalent. + Fluent English. + 3 years of industrial experience. + Prior work experience in a manufacturing environment with similar operations is preferred. + Must be willing to work a 8-hr rotating shift. + Computer Skills + Experience following Standard Operation Procedures or Guidelines. + Willing and able to wear required PPE (persona protective equipment).
