The QA Engineer role is dedicated to testing software before it’s put into production service. This is a role with broad responsibilities, all contributing to the quality of the Engineering software features delivered to customers. This includes building a testing framework and collection of tests the run at various parts of the software development lifecycle. The primary goal of the team is to provide a service for internal and external customers where we support moving at speed and maintaining the quality of the product.    

What you’ll do & how you’ll make your mark: 

Test Analysis:

Apply different testing techniques to ensure comprehensive coverage and identify the best times for tests during team planning.Define expected outcomes from requirements, challenge unclear specs, and understand system interactions to guide testing.

Test Execution:

Conduct exploratory testing, write and maintain manual or automated scripts, and ensure test code is peer-reviewed and debugged.Create clear, easy-to-debug test suites and raise detailed bug reports with sufficient information for the next steps.

Quality and Risk:

Help assess bug severity, contribute to quality reports, and suggest process improvements through automation and test strategies.Monitor user experience and communicate any emerging issues or trends to the team.

Teamwork:

Collaborate across disciplines, influence continuous improvement, and actively participate in discussions about quality.Take responsibility for personal growth, share knowledge, and set QA goals for the team or product.

Who you are & what you’ll need to succeed: 

​Solid experience in writing and executing software tests - both Manual or for Automation. 

Working knowledge of test methodology. 

Advanced to Fluent English skills as you will deal with a multicultural team - most based in US, but also Brazil and Argentina.

Experience using any programming language (Java is preferred) - you will be performing code exercises during the technical steps.

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related area

Experience writing automated tests using Java, Playwright (or Selenium), and Cucumber. 

Experience with troubleshooting software issues. 

Understanding of Agile scrum methodology. 

Knowledge of Linux.

Experience with any cloud provider would be a plus - preference for AWS.

Ability to reproduce and communicate reproduction steps of a defect through writing or on a video call.
