Ingenium Solution Architect

We are seeking a talented and experienced Software Architect to join our team. As a Software Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure software solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and align project goals with the software architecture. Additionally, you will provide leadership and guidance to the development team, ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural principles.

Job functions and responsibilities:

Deep understanding of software architecture principles, patterns, and best practices. Ability to design software architectures, selecting appropriate technologies and frameworks. Expertise in ensuring scalability, maintainability, and security in software systems. Proactive risk assessment and mitigation of potential technical challenges.Ability to adapt and customize existing solutions to meet project requirements. Design of custom solutions to address specific customer needs. Assessment of the technical impact of different technologies and strategies.Collaboration with stakeholders to understand and address their needs.Leadership and guidance to software development teams, including mentoring.Contribution to deliverables in operational, integration, and application architecture.Ability to understand and translate customer business problems into effective solutions. Application of methodologies and subject matter expertise to resolve business issues. Translation of verbal requirements into clear documentation (requirements documents, statements of work, proposals). Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.   Extensive experience with INGENIUM projects (implementation, upgrades, enhancements). Deep understanding of INGENIUM architecture and hands-on development experience. Understanding of the full INGENIUM project lifecycle (inception to maintenance).Expert-level INGENIUM proficiency (required). Experience with INGENIUM upgrades (mainframe, mainframe to distributed). Experience with multiple INGENIUM versions (preferred). Experience with Pathfinder (SME/Functional level). Working knowledge of ProductXpress. Ability to demonstrate practical knowledge of INGENIUM and related product suits functionality within business processes. Proven ability to develop technical specifications and programming solutions based on business requirements. Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, DB2, SQL, VSAM, REXX, CICS, and MQ Series. Hands-on experience with Windows, Unix, and AIX operating systems. Familiarity with life insurance products (whole life, term, disability, universal life, wealth, health). Strong planning, prioritization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to translate complex business requirements. Experience working in an Agile environment. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
