The Molder Trainee operates and adjusts injection molding machines normally with a Molder being present to maintain operating efficiencies and quality standards. The Molder Trainee is also responsible for the safety, process control, some maintenance work, quality, regrind, housekeeping and the proper use of the MDT40 units within their work cell.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:
Start and stop injection machines, robots and peripheral product handling equipment. Clean, grease and check oil levels of machines and mold faces. Cycle machines to maintain quality and efficiencies. Troubleshoot and repair material handling system. Report any mold or machine deficiency (Maintenance Work Order System). Maintain and update daily all required documentation including Daily Checklists. Ensure proper reuse of rejects by completing all grinding by shift end. Check and fill color concentrates and set up and maintain color concentrates. Check and fill regrind bins and perform on-line grinding. Check machines running material from gaylords and keep full as needed. Check and fill gaylords on machines. Set up for color changes. Clean and maintain secondary equipment where required. Maintain proper let downs of color concentrate. Satisfactorily complete training courses as determined by management. Other tasks as needed or as assigned. \n Eligibility to work in the United States. Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen. Provide weekend work coverage and work overtime as needed. Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.
