Injection Molding Coordinator

 

SUMMARY OF ROLE:

Monday-Friday 8 hours 6am -230pm

The Injection Molding Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the activities of Injection Molding department. The Technical Manager fulfulls the responsbilities of this role when vacant.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an at-will employer, SIG (formerly Scholle IPN) reserves the right to add to or modify this list to the extent it deems necessary.

Coordinating daily activities within the Injection Molding department which includes all aspects of documentation and scheduling. Communication to supply chain and production on upcoming downtime, changeovers, etc. Ensure department compliance to GMP and 5S requirements.  Own coordination of activities to maintain overall department organization and housekeeping. Ensure completion of daily mold condition check sheets.  Organize activities when deficiencies are found. Spare parts and consumable monitoring/ordering for injection molding and tooling. Material traceability compliance.  Totes, gaylords, plastic bins. Write SOPs for training and documentation.  Maintain training records for injection molding as required. Work with process engineers on trial and development documentation and logistics. Maintain hour by hour and production reporting tools including cavity shut off tracking process. Participate in continuous improvement and kaizen activities (CI) as needed. Support all safety initiatives to reduce Incident Rate (RIR) Attend tier 2 meetings as assigned. Performs other related duties as assigned

YOU BRING THESE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

EDUCATION: High school diploma or G.E.D required. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Computer skills including Office, Teams, Excel, etc. Strong organization and communication skills. Lean Manufacturing and SES background is a plus. Injection molding knowledge is a plus but not required
