1. To provide guidance to the Tooling Group team members.

2. Monitor mold repair and rebuild intervals.

3. Submit and approve capital expenses for the Tool Room and mold repairs.

4. Monitor efficiency reports and determine areas that require special attention.

5. Coordinate with all support groups i.e. Maintenance, Scheduling, Molding, Printing, Thermoform, and etc.

6. Keep staff informed on pertinent activities and information.

7. To assist other departments at other Berry Global facilities as needed.

8. To oversee policies to ensure safety and efficiency.

9. Oversee employee evaluations once a year.

10. Enforce all company policies, work rules, safety absolutes, and good work practices.

11. Understand all safety precautions of proper operation of machines and equipment that are used while performing your job duties.

12. Oversee the development and training of new employees and direct the employees in their work habits.

13. Communicate and engage with vendors and suppliers for the Tool Room and order supplies as needed.

14. Troubleshoot problems in the molding process pertaining to the mold.

15. Assist in the training of new personnel.

16. Assist all Tool Room employees in their repair of molds or equipment.

17. Fully understand and utilize the established QSI/ISO, HACCP, AIB, SQF, and GDC procedures

Qualifications

· High school diploma/GED equivalent.

· Preference given to candidates with advanced degrees or certificates

· Prior experience in mold making, industrial tool maintenance, or injection molding.

· Ability to read technical drawings and prints.

· Must have good communications skills, written and verbal.

· Must know how to use basic measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

· Previous experience with lathes, mills, grinders, etc. is not essential, but preferred.

· Knowledge of injection mold components, terminology, and their relationships to each other.
