The opportunity The College COACH summer internship is a paid program running from Monday, June 9-Friday, August 8, 2025. In addition to on-the-job training and work experience, the program includes workshops and additional development programs. College students will work 35 hours/week. The Injury Prevention Program at Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH) is dedicated to reducing the burden of unintentional injuries on children and their families. Through inpatient programs, community outreach and research we strive to educate as many families as possible and provide access to resources they would be otherwise unable to attain. What you’ll do Job activities performed include but are not limited to: + Staffing of the Safety Store which includes sale transactions, tracking and stocking of inventory and public education + Gain knowledge of the Trauma and Injury Prevention Programs at BCH and how their systems function + Promote educational injury prevention materials + Participate in outreach programs and community events with the Injury Prevention specialists + The opportunity to collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the Trauma Center to work on projects is encouraged + You will work fully on-site at the Longwood Galleria in Boston What you’ll get + Hands on experience with inventory, money, and working with others to solve problems. + Able to see day to day job life of injury prevention, social work and nursing + Gain training and knowledge of injury prevention and trauma topics. Who you are + You are an undergraduate college student interested working in healthcare + You have a desire to promote and advocate for the prevention of injury in children + You can work collaboratively with members of the Trauma/Injury Prevention team + You are comfortable interacting and providing education for children and families about injury prevention + You are flexible to participate in community events Recruitment process + Internship opportunities: We aim to have all summer internship opportunities posted by February 28.
