The Budget Analyst will maintain a tracker, write purchase orders, complete goods receipts, ensure budget is spent appropriately, have active communication with budget owners/spenders & cross functional partners while ensuring finance and procurement policies and practices are both being upheld.
This person will be detail oriented and have the analytical skills to process large quantities of information. Strong candidates will demonstrate the ability to analyze and solve problems while being able to clearly articulate complex ideas and communicate clearly and effectively. Budget Analysts will also be able to work with and understand spreadsheets, financial analysis programs and database functions. Must be able to present clear ideas in writing for the target audience.
Your responsibilities will include Create and present presentationsEstablish and maintain clear communication with budget owners/spenders and cross functional partners.
Establish and maintain relationships with finance and procurement
Create and update monthly forecasts
Keep manager informed
Effective communications with budget owners/spenders
Updating budgets in trackers and other databases as needed
Maintain trackers
Write and follow up on purchase orders
Ensure timely goods receipts
Update reporting
Adhoc requests from teams regarding spend requests
Problem resolution with purchase orders/invoicing
Provide and document best practices and provide knowledge transfer resulting in consistency of processes.
Deep understanding of processes with budgeting in support of Product Leadership needs.
Drives global consistency of processes within budget planning
Work closely with cross-functional partners
Minimum requirements
Associates/Bachelor’s Degree
Experience with tracking budget
Ability to learn quickly
Ability to make decisions
Preferred skills and experiencesExperience working with budget practices
Ability to influence and drive consensus
Self motivated, Self-confident and driver of change with strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and in multi-disciplinary teams.
Ability to quickly establish credibility and build trust with cross-functional and cross-cultural alignment
Excellent communication, facilitation, teamwork and change management skills
