We are looking for an Innovation Engineer Intern to join our Troy, MI Facility on site. The engineering intern should be motivated and eager to learn. This intern will be able to experience a variety of functions within the engineering teams.
Opportunity to learn and use design skillsAssist with 3D-modeling core products / assemblies in CADAssist with generating product renderings from CADRedesign / revamp of customer sample kits and sample room stock holdingsAssist with part testing and creating test reportsGain trouble shooting and problem-solving techniquesLearn about ITW’s Customer Back Innovation process and help drive Innovation projects.Support the application, design and innovation teams on daily tasks and projectsHelp research new and innovative tools to help the engineering teams operate at a high levelQualifications:
Enrolled in a Bachelor program with a degree in engineeringPreferred:
Familiarity with the Automotive industryGeneral understanding of fastener assembly mechanicsMechanical Engineering StudyCAD experience (SolidWorks)Technical design rendering experience (Keyshot)
