As the Innovation Manager for Brown-Forman Mexico, your primary role is to pursue and promote innovation not as a ‘one-off’ activity but manage it as a strategic and established process. Always embracing change as an opportunity, not a threat. Maintaining close connections and influencing a large array of KSH throughout the organization to create the innovation funnel for each local portfolio, partnering up with brand teams to manage and deploy it.
**Meaningful** **Work** **From** **Day** **One:**
The Innovation Manager will manage upstream strategic funnel and pipeline development, working in partnership with the base business, marketing brand managers, global brand teams, and production area.
Scope includes insights and positioning, brand experience choices and communications recommendations. This position will collaborate with marketing managers and sales teams to research into strategic future business opportunities. The role involves identifying, developing and delivering ready-to-sell products for brand extension and portfolio diversification opportunities that align with business and operating plans.
The Innovation Manager will be responsible for quarterly portfolio reporting and analysis related to new product performance, annual planning, and long-term planning. The scope includes ongoing trend mining and assessments to enable ideation around opportunity spaces, flavor, and macro trends.
The role primarily focuses on ideation and pipeline development of three key portfolio pillars: 60% on RTDs (Ready-to-Drink), 20% on high-proof products, and 20% on new-to-market (imported) products.

DISCOVERY: Identification of brand opportunities that expand our portfolio.
+ Diversify portfolio and brand extension through thoughtful consumer insights, thorough competitive and market analyses, and deep understanding of emerging trends.
+ Influence evolution of brand pipeline and funnel within company’s strategic priorities with a brand lens. Build brand equity with clear behavior objectives, e.g., retain, recruit, etc.
+ Uncovering business opportunities: underdeveloped categories and formats and new item opportunities. Ascertain and size business opportunities.
+ Consider macro benefits, attitudinal and outside category interactions and substitutions; assess course of action to pursue. Utilize instincts, observations and experience.
+ Mine secondary landscape & consumer category segmentation to identify insights, need state, occasions, etc.
DEFINE PROPOSITION: Identify assumptions and needs to build profitable propositions
+ Develop andshapebusinessplatformpropositionstoenabledeliveryofannualbudgetandstartplan.
+ Influence,prioritize,andassessfunnelandpipelinehealth.
+ Establishes action standards and associated hurdles. Partners with consumer insights to manage all external/internal consumer-based market research activities.
+ Lead category and business case development. Analyze data and information from a wide variety of sources to develop effective business building plans, including trade promotional analysis and competitive analysis.
+ Inspire, project management and lead cross-functional teams throughout the entire innovation process; works closely with other departments such as Research & Development, Operations, Finance, Sales, Consumer Insights, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain.
+ Generate breakthrough, disruptive ideas that inspire to enable technical advantages and insulate us from competition; exceeding our consumers wants, and needs, and winning their hearts, and minds.
+ Present New Product pipeline to strategic clients, receive feedback, and adjust product propositions as needed.
POST LAUNCH ANALYTICAL SUPPORT: This position will oversee the launch brands for 12 months after the launch to ensure their success and then transfer the responsibility to the core brand team. Identify key metrics and KPIs to determine the launch’s success.

**What** **You** **Bring** **to** **the** **Table:**
+ Bachelor’sdegreeinMarketingorBusiness.
+ Priorexperienceoninnovationroles.
+ Demonstrated relevant skills and results in consumer packaged goods marketing or closely related field.
+ Knowledgeable in syndicated databases (Nielsen, ISCAM, etc.), market research, and familiarity with industry stage-gate practices.
+ From 2 - 4 years brand planning, building and running brand business, advertising, finance, promotional activities and consumer communications.
+ Experience with launching line extensions.
+ Ability to successfully translate marketing objectives and research into functional brand toolkit elements.
+ Leads internal team and agency resources to ensure collaboration, alignment and efficient resource management successfully achieve objectives.
+ Filters, prioritizes, analyzes, and validates potential complex and dynamic material.
