Position: Innovation Quality Engineer
Location: Lat Krabang, Bangkok
JOB PURPOSE
In adequation with Group Lens Innovation and Global Quality strategies, the Quality Innovation Validation manager is responsible for the preparation and the animation of the end-to-end quality validation for new products and new processes.
QIV Manager main responsibility is to ensure the quality risk management by identifying all along the stage/gate process the main risks (safety, regulation, standards, performance) and proposing with the experts the appropriate validation test plan to mitigate them.
He / she will pilot the quality activity for innovations inside the stage gate by ensuring that all the quality deliverables – specifications, control plans, validation synthesis…is collected and validated to cross the corresponding gates (including the development or co-development with partners entities).
Responsibilities
PRODUCT/PROCESS VALIDATION
Identify with the Group Lens Innovation experts the technical and regulatory risks, then define the associated validation plan with them Define with GLI experts the product and process specifications, in agreement with customer needs and applicable standards Guarantee the compliance of innovation with all the regulatory requirements applicable, including medical devices ones (ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR 820…). Guarantee the quality and the management of the deliverables at each step of innovation process (Consumer Stage Gate or SGP 2.0)The expectations for this job position are especially linked to the development of new material (monomers, resins, interaction with coatings), in strong collaboration with GLI LSMT team.
COMMUNICATION & REPORTING
Ensure communication and reporting of the stage progress in the dedicated committee (monthly review, stage review meeting, CSC, C2SC) and the potential alerts (key facts, gaps…)

INTERNAL:This position has a transversal role at the heart of innovation and is fully connected to program and projects teams. In France and at International.
It requires a strong interaction with other validation quality managers to ensure the global consistency of the validation process, as well as a strong collaboration with other Quality Innovation teams (Innovation Metrology Quality, Quality Expertise Product and QMS), and more largely with other Quality teams (Manufacturing Quality, Supplier Quality, Zones Quality).
EXTERNAL: Potential collaboration with external suppliers
Candidate Profile:
Science discipline with at least 5 years’ experience directly related to products and/or quality is required Good knowledge of EssilorLuxottica products & services portfolio Good knowledge of material (polymer), casting and/or injection processes ISO13485 knowledge would be a plus Highly motivated and positive attitude, energy and leadership Effective, articulate and dynamic communication skills; able to organize and synthesize thoughts to make clear and convincing presentations (to project teams, business teams, management Able to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and from a wide and complex array of disciplines at all levels of the company, including GLI, Marketing, Production, Supply chain and of course other Quality departments. French & English language, comfortable in an international and multicultural work environment
