Community Health Advanced Practice Providers, Inova Cares for Families (ICF)

Inova Cares for Families (ICF) provides comprehensive primary care services to patients who reflect the culturally diverse community we serve. Our clinics serve as medical homes for patients of all ages who qualify for Medicaid, FAMIS, Inova’s Financial Assistance Program, or are uninsured. Applicants may be considered for current full time positions. 

Positions covers various sites, including Annandale, Alexandria, Herndon, Manassas, Sterling, Mount Vernon the main location of this position will be in Dumfries.

ICF APP Job Responsibilities:

Adult Services

Regular physicals, ongoing health maintenance and check-ups (e.g. routine bloodwork, prescription refills, vaccinations, health screenings) Patient education and counseling for disease prevention Chronic disease management (e.g. diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol) Care coordination for specialist referrals and other medical services Nurse case management Behavioral health services (e.g. depression, anxiety)

Children Services

Well Child Visits Sick Child Visits Physicals – School and sports Home Tomorrow Visits for recently discharged newborns with bilirubin check Childhood immunizations – as recommended by current clinical guidelines

Additional Requirements:

Minimum Education Requirement:  

Physician Assistants: Master’s degree and NCCPA Certification is required OR Nurse Practitioners: Master’s degree and appropriate certification required (AANC or AANP)

Minimum Licensure/ Certification Requirement: 

 Minimum 1 year of full-time experience (as a NP or PA)  Active VA medical license or ability to obtain an unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of Virginia  Active unrestricted VA DEA or ability to obtain  Ability to successfully obtain credentialed privileges through Inova  BLS through American Heart Association
