Inpatient Pediatric Physical Therapist (Full Time)
Description

ChildServe's talented team of therapists specializes in pediatric rehab and works together to create plans specific to each child's needs. As an Inpatient Physical Therapist , you will provide comprehensive physical therapy services to children in our inpatient service at our Johnston location and residential group homes in the Des Moines metro.
 Schedule Full Time, 30 hours per week, Monday-Friday, typical business hours with some flexibility. Opportunity to pick up an additional 10 hours per week within our outpatient therapy clinic. Benefits 
This role is full-time and eligible for health benefits, including medical/dental/vision insurance, paid time off, and a 403b retirement account. PTO starts accruing immediately, with 40 hours front-loaded at hire!  As a non-profit, ChildServe participates in the Public Service Loan repayment program.  What You'll Do

 Plan and prepare individualized, creative, and unique activities to meet each child's individual goalsAdminister appropriate standardized tests/screenings/informal assessments/clinical observationsAdhere to the plan of care as writtenProvide interpretation and/or counseling of test results to clients/caregivers as well as ongoing feedback regarding progressProvide appropriate recommendations, equipment, referrals and/or follow-up for each caseAssist in the research/development of clinical practices and competenciesParticipate in internal quality assurance and continuous quality improvement activitiesMust meet ChildServe and ChildServe Therapy’s mandatory education requirements and be willing to attend additional training to improve process and procedures What You'll Need Master's level or higher graduate of an APTA approved physical therapy program and active license in the state of Iowa Preferred: Pediatric experience  Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, be mobile within the assigned work area, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.This position may be subject to COVID-19 safety requirements.
