Inpatient Pharmacy Manager - Pediatrics

As an Inpatient Pharmacy Manager, you will manage the daily operations of Main Campus’ pediatric inpatient pharmacy services and identify, develop and implement innovative, systematic and timely solutions to improve quality.  

A caregiver in this position works varying shifts from 7:30am – 4:00pm and an on-call rotation (4 to 5 times per year).  

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

Identify customer needs and facilitate meeting those needs utilizing continuous process improvement techniques. 

Identify and propose practical solutions to technical, professional, personnel or procedural problems affecting daily workflow. 

Ensure that the department is adequately staffed with properly trained personnel. 

Establish work assignments and schedules. 

Participate in the development of operational and clinical program activities. 

Promote and develop the clinical activities of pharmacy caregivers through counseling, training and teaching. 

Train and instruct caregivers as to their duties. 

Coordinate orientation and training of new caregivers in job functions and responsibilities. 

Monitor financials and other pertinent statistics. 

Assist with evaluations of financial performance. 

Maintain records of narcotics, poisons, and habit-forming drugs received in accordance with state and federal laws. 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible for reciprocation in the current state or within 90 days of hire.  

Completion of a health-system Pharmacy Administration or Leadership (HSPAL) PGY2 Residency OR at least four years of relevant pharmacy experience including at least one year of leadership experience.  

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

Pharmacy degree with current state licensure and MS, MBS, PharmD and/or residency.

Physical Requirements:

Physical demands include periods of standing and walking.Dexterity sufficient to perform computer functions and communication via telephone.May be required to lift and transport up to ten pounds.Requires normal or corrected vision.
