Inpatient Phleotomist
Job Title: Phlebotomist Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced inpatient phlebotomist to join our team at a Level 1 trauma center. This full-time position requires candidates to have at least 6 months of experience performing blood draws in an inpatient setting. A willingness to work with a diverse patient population is essential. Responsibilities + Perform blood draws on patients, including pediatric and adolescent draws. + Conduct heel sticks and other specimen collection procedures. + Utilize Epic system for documentation and patient records. + Support the inpatient setting with timely and accurate phlebotomy services. + Work with a diverse range of patients, including those with social vulnerabilities and stigmatization. Essential Skills + Inpatient phlebotomy experience (6+ months). Could be from hospital or clinic setting + Proficiency in blood draw techniques, including pediatric and adolescent draws and heel sticks. + Knowledge of basic laboratory procedures and terminology. + Familiarity with correct specimen collection procedures. + Experience using Epic system. Work Environment This role is based in a hospital setting, providing an opportunity to build experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The position includes rotating start times with shifts starting at 4 AM and 5 AM every other weekend, as well as an alternative PM shift with start times at 1 PM and 2 PM. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
