Overview Perform professional nursing duties in the care of patients across the life span, including medical, surgical, pediatric, psychiatric, and obstetrical patients. Qualifications EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT Associate's degree from a 2-year college or technical school; or two (2) years (60 credit hours) coursework from a 4-year college or university; or three (3) years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED No additional experience. COMPUTER SKILLS To perform this job successfully, an individual should know about Human Resource systems; Internet software; Order processing systems, and Payroll systems. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must possess a license as a Registered Nurse (RN) from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN) or possess a multistate RN license accepted by the OBN, no substitutions. Must maintain license throughout employment. Must be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and maintain throughout employment. If not certified at the time of employment, BLS certification can be obtained during orientation. Must be certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and maintain throughout employment. If not certified, ACLS certification can be obtained within six (6) months of hire. All Departments, except the Obstetrical Department, must be certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and maintain throughout employment. If not certified, PALS certification must be obtained within six (6) months of hire. Obstetrical Department – Must be certified Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and maintain throughout employment. Can be obtained during orientation. Must be certified in the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and maintain throughout employment. If not certified, NIHSS must be obtained within six (6) months of hire. A driver’s license may be required to work in some departments. If so, the applicant/employee must possess a valid driver’s license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets the requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating. REQUIREMENTS FOR DEPARTMENTS OTHER QUALIFICATIONS The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG’s Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA’s List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE). Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care. Educated on and compliant with HIPAA regulations and maintains strict confidentiality of patient information. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock and risk of radiation. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Work Hours: varies, 8 to 12 hour shifts depending on department needs Day Shift $47.90 Night Shift $57.47
