Job Overview:
Northwest Medical Center in Springdale is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nurse Manager to lead our Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit. As a Nurse Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of the nursing staff, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive rehabilitation services to patients. Key Responsibilities:
Daily Operations: Manage the day-to-day activities of the nursing staff, including scheduling, staffing levels, and resource allocation to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
Leadership and Supervision: Provide direct supervision, mentorship, and support to nursing staff, including performance evaluations and professional development.
Patient Care Coordination: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical, occupational, and speech therapists, as well as physicians, to ensure that patient care aligns with individualized rehabilitation goals.
Quality and Safety Oversight: Implement and monitor patient care practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practice standards.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure nursing operations comply with healthcare regulations and hospital policies, maintaining proper documentation and adherence to patient care protocols.
Staffing and Resource Management: Oversee staffing levels and allocate nursing resources based on patient acuity and census, ensuring appropriate coverage at all times.
Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with the Program Director and Therapy Director to promote seamless interdisciplinary care and communication throughout the rehabilitation process.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role in a rehabilitation, acute care, or similar healthcare setting preferred.
Licensure: Current RN licensure in the state of Arkansas.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to mentor, lead, and support nursing staff while promoting a culture of patient-centered care and teamwork.
