You will join a team of specialists in the performance testing of secure networking equipment.

You will use testing equipment to validate the performance of New (NPI) or current Fortinet products. This role is a part of the sales organization at Fortinet, helping the community of pre-sales engineers with collaboration and sharing up-to-date information on new equipment, latest patches, and firmware.

 While lab testing and delivering the results is the key element of our work, we also find ourselves:

Giving general technical assistance to the Sales Teams. Helping with a field-based remote Proof of Concept (POC) activity. Providing input to RFP responses. Provide design expertise and assistance to the field.

We are looking for a network engineer with a good knowledge of computer physics (system performance such as interruption, context switching, but also routing or pkt). In-depth knowledge of how a system or Wireshark works is a prerequisite. Experience of RFC3511 and RFC9411, testing with Spirent and/or Breakingpoint/Keysight or experience of Fortigate/FOS is a plus.

Skills required.

A top system and networking knowledge is necessary.

For example:

IPv4, IPv6, TCP, UDP L2 switching Routing protocols VPN and related: IPsec, SSL/TLS ZTNA or SDWAN Knowing how a system behaves using tools like mpstat or top is absolutely required.
