The Academic & Government Research Sales team prioritizes continuous learning, resilience, and a customer-centric approach. We are seeking an experienced Inside Research Account Manager for Southern Europe with a proven track record in selling information tools. The candidate should be fluent in English, both verbal and written, and possess proficiency in an additional language such as Spanish, Portuguese, or Italian. The role involves managing Academic & Government accounts in Southern Europe, building relationships, and driving sales growth. A goal-oriented, collaborative approach and commitment to ethical conduct are essential for success in this dynamic environment.
About the role
We seek a proactive Inside Research Account Manager for our Academic & Government Research Sales team in Southern Europe. The role involves managing and expanding existing accounts and finding new business opportunities in the academic and government research sectors. Ideal candidates are ambitious, proactive, and client-focused with experience in selling information tools. Fluency in English and proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, or Italian is required. You will own Southern European accounts, build relationships, and drive sales growth. If you are goal-oriented, collaborative, and ethical, you'll excel in our supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in academic and government institutions across Southern Europe.Sales Growth: Identify and pursue opportunities to expand our product offerings within existing accounts and onboard new customers, aiming for revenue growth and increased market share.Client Support: Provide exceptional customer service and support, addressing client inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.Market Analysis: Conduct market research to understand client needs and industry trends, using this information to inform sales strategies and product development.Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Product Development, and account Support (as global inside sales we don’t have customer success collaborations) to ensure a cohesive approach to client engagement and satisfaction.Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status. Provide regular reports to management on sales performance and market insights.Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in account management or sales, preferably within the academic or government research sectors.Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and nurture client relationships. Strong analytical, problem-solving abilities and growth mindset.Language: Fluency in English and at least one additional language spoken in Southern Europe (e.g., Spanish, Italian, or Portuguese).Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.Work in a way that works for you
