Job Description

Agilent is seeking a highly motivated, competitive, enthusiastic, people-oriented person to join our inside sales team as a Lab Informatics Inside Product Specialist selling to our North American sales district.  The goal is to expand the market penetration of Agilent’s Informatics software solutions portfolio.

As an inside product specialist, you will be primarily responsible to work with Account Managers and other Product Specialists to identify, nurture, and close orders for customers. These actions will be done digitally primarily through phone and email.  Success will involve leveraging the larger Agilent team of product specialists, field reps, application engineers, marketing, and service to develop strategies and deploy tactics to attract new buyers to Agilent and close orders.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

Create quotes for team members and account managers.  Help drive the sales cycle as well as assisting in forecasting sales accurately for the Laboratory Informatics product sales territory.

Responsible for developing customer relationships and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Proactively prospect for new customers and business leveraging digital tools and analytics.

Working with software solutions, computer networks, server solutions in on-prem and cloud environments.

Collaborate across all Agilent channels including service delivery, sales, and marketing.

Provide timely responses to all customer requests.

Apply rigor to CRM updates including lead generation, quote creation, forecasting, marketing attributes, and customer contact information.

Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters Degree or University Degree or equivalent

2+ years of life science sales experience with server systems or lab experience using liquid or gas chromatography

Requires in-depth knowledge of server systems, computer networking, cloud deployments and laboratories

Strong problem-solving skills

Experience using digital selling tools

Excellent verbal, written and phone communication skills, with a strong interest in interacting directly with customers via phone and email

Requires general proficiency with Microsoft Office, systems and procedures to accomplish job

Experience with SAP CRM a plus

Additional Details

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely. Applications for this job will be accepted until at least January 3, 2025 or until the job is no longer posted. It is sales incentive eligible.

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $37.50 - $75.00/hr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
