Manulife Investment Management (MIM) Advisor Group delivers financial and investment solutions and advice, including financial planning and insurance, to clients across the wealth spectrum.
The Inside Sales Consultant, being a Transition Consultant, is an important role in the MIM Advisor Group. The Consultant connects with employees in our group plans at Manulife at a time when they are transitioning away from their current employer to understand their investment and other needs so that they may guide and assist them with respect to their plans going forward.
Position Responsibilities:
Conduct one-on-one needs-based conversations over the phone for group retirement plan-members currently enrolled in an employer group plan
Educate and communicate value proposition on benefits of various options for members
Conduct financial illustrations for plan members around drawing retirement income
Guide members through need-based analysis and formulate a plan of action and related suitability for immediate assets that are in group plan
By understanding client preferences and their personal situation, identify referral opportunities
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year in client facing roles in the financial industry, preferability wealth or asset management
Post-Secondary Education is an asset
Life License (LLQP) required by start date
Mutual Fund License (MFDA) is preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to articulate value proposition through consultation over the phone
Possess active listening skills to understand the clients’ needs and personal situation
Attention to detail in gathering and accurately recording all customer information
High degree of integrity putting the client at the center of the conversation
Strong compliance approach
Remain current and up to date on our products and services, as well as processes
The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French in order to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of Quebec.
