Inside Sales Representative

Education and/or Experience: 2-4 Year College Degree – Trainee 2 Year Degree plus 2+ Years Experience in Sales High School plus 5 Years Experience in Sales Experienced individual who possesses considerable product knowledge and familiarity of SBSM’s Network. Position Summary: Responsible to the Regional Customer Service Manager/Sales Managers/Operations Managers or Customer Service Supervisors for solicitation and processing of customer inquires and orders. Essential Job Functions include the following, other duties may be assigned: 1. Promotes and adheres to good safety and housekeeping habits as outlined in SB Specialty Metals LLC’s Safety Policy. 2. Receives mail, fax, e-mail and telephone orders and inquiries from customers and business units as assigned and provides necessary information and details to process orders. Orders are accepted within established Company policies and procedures. 3. Makes outgoing telephone sales calls in an effort to generate inquiries and orders from existing customers and/or potential customers. 4. WISDOM System -Receives and enter steel orders. Verifies inventory availability. 5. Checks extended delivery promises and expedites as required. 6. Assists in processing claims for poor quality material. Evaluates situations, and if appropriate, recommends testing. 7. Assesses and researches specific instances where competitive pricing is necessary and makes recommendations for approval by the Sales Managers, Operations Managers or Customer Service Supervisors. 8. Prepares required reports. Secondary Job Functions 9. Assists Outside Sales Personnel by visiting key customers as needed to improve customer relations and assist with any pertinent customer needs or requirements. 10. Assumes additional duties as assigned. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.25/hr.
