Requirements Inside Sales Representative - Building Performance: This is where you come in. We’re looking for an Inside Sales Representative - Building Performance who will be responsible for selling Energy Management and Operational Management Plans to an identified list of commercial buildings as it relates to Washington State Clean Buildings Performance Standards and Oregon Building Performance Standard. Top deliverables in the first year to be a hero: + Sales Strategy Execution – Develop and implement a targeted sales plan to promote Energy Management and Operational Management Plans to commercial building owners impacted by Washington and Oregon Building Performance Standards. + Client Engagement & Relationship Building – Identify and engage key decision-makers in commercial buildings, educating them on compliance requirements and the benefits of energy and operational management solutions. + Customized Solution Development – Assess client needs and provide tailored Energy Management and Operational Management Plans that align with regulatory standards and optimize building performance. + Regulatory Compliance Support – Guide clients through Washington’s Clean Buildings Performance Standards and Oregon’s Building Performance Standard, ensuring they understand and meet compliance deadlines. + Revenue & Performance Tracking – Achieve sales targets by closing deals, maintaining an updated sales pipeline, and providing regular progress reports on client engagement, compliance impact, and financial performance. The Inside Sales Representative - Building Performance role reports to Laura Tatro, Lead Inside Account Executive, and plays a key role within a collaborative team focused on supporting our expanding business. This highly visible position involves working across all levels and departments within the organization, offering a unique opportunity to engage with a variety of projects and initiatives. Your Background: What kind of person will thrive in this role? You should be able to: + Develop a comprehensive business plan to achieve goals and meet sales quotas. + Manage the entire sales cycle, from identifying potential clients to securing contracts and closing deals. + Effectively present Energy Management and Operational Management Plan solutions to clients, demonstrating their value. + Provide exceptional after-sales support, fostering strong, long-term customer relationships. + Maintain regular communication with clients to assess their needs and ensure satisfaction. + Address and resolve customer concerns promptly, safeguarding both customer satisfaction and the company’s reputation. + Negotiate contracts and maintain accurate records of sales activities and client data. + Represent MacDonald-Miller within the local business community through active professional networking. + Take ownership of special assignments or target sales initiatives as directed by your supervisor. You should be described by those you work with as someone who: + Has a proven track record as an Account Executive or in a sales/customer service role. + Possesses a solid understanding of mechanical systems and their operations. + Has a strong grasp of operational costs and capital expenditures. + Demonstrates expertise in market research, sales strategies, and negotiation techniques. + Is proficient with Office and CRM software tools. + Exhibits exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships. + Has strong organizational and time-management capabilities. + Displays sound business acumen. + Holds a college degree (preferred) or has 5+ years of relevant work experience. Benefits Compensation: Base salary of $70,000 annually, plus commissions and vehicle compensation.
