Position Summary:
Develop relationships with strategic inside sales accounts consisting of Ruminants and Monogastric, and regional feed companies across North America. Target Operating Profit will be set and approved by Key account & Inside Sales Manager.
Inside Sales Representative:
ADM Animal Nutrition, a division of Archer Daniels Midland Company, is a leading manufacturing, nutrition and ingredient business offering a wide range of innovative products for the animal nutrition market. We are seeking a proven leader in account management/sales to hold the position of Inside Sales Representative for Premix and Specialty ingredients that would primarily include the North American Market. This position will develop relationships with strategic accounts primarily consisting of regional and national feed companies in North America. Sales activity will focus on uncovering and understanding individual customer goals and priorities and then positioning the appropriate ADM AN products and services to meet and exceed those needs.
Responsibilities for this position include:Manage a portfolio of accounts, from initial inquiry to delivery, as well as ongoing service after the sale.First point of contact for phone and web inquiries, including basic product support and referral to appropriate channels. Responsible for vetting all new potential business for product lines with Animal Nutrition.Actively prospect and call new potential customers.Responsible for closing deals and achieving customer satisfaction based on goals and objectives established by designated manager.Sell within a core portfolio of products while also promoting ADM’s full range of products and service capabilities.Leverage internal relationships, networks, and other ADM divisions to cross sell accounts and showcase ADM’s value.Daily interaction with Salesforce by logging all pertinent activity and customer notes, managing and updating pipeline.Identify, assemble and report trending areas of interest to product management.Make efforts to achieve the short term sales targets and improve the good will of the organization.Other responsibilities to include sales forecasts, contract processes, Price File management in eADM.Responsible for business development—translate customer needs, identify and close technical gaps to create value.Assist in the generation of new SOP’s for functions needing streamlined.Work closely with cross-functional team to maximize short and long-term profitable growth.Develop a clear understanding of the product offerings and how ADM can best service the markets identified.The chosen candidate will be able to effectively cultivate a relationship with the assigned portfolio of accounts by staying in regular contact and providing the support that the customers need.Research, identify and develop strategies to increase ADM sales in identified market segments and product segments of growth, while understanding and researching competitors products and advantages.The appointed candidate will be expected to work closely and in a professional manner with the Sales Team, Commercial Management, Technical Services, Credit and Customer Services to meet customer needs and business goals.Job Requirements:3-5 years of customer service experience and/or 1-2 years in relative sales, marketing, or business development.Bachelor degree in business or science-related field. Ability to build long-term, sustainable business to business relationships within both internal and external organizations.Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential in order to develop relationship with customers.Outgoing personality with a demonstrated eagerness to assist customers via phone, web and trade shows.Ability to operate as a team player and work well with others. To share ideas and collaborate to ensure success of the team.This position requires superior organizational, planning and follow-up skills. As well as the need to be a self-starter when it comes to prospecting and growing of new and existing customers. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is required.
