Refined Oils Inside Sales Representative –Decatur, IL

Position Summary: Manage a portfolio of accounts, from initial quote to delivery, as well as ongoing service after the sale.. First point of contact for phone and web inquiries, including basic applications support and referral to appropriate channels. Responsible for vetting all new potential business for product lines with Refined Oils Group.Prospect and call potential customers.Responsible for closing deals and achieving customer satisfaction based on goals and objectives established by Senior Account Manager.Sell within a core portfolio of oils products while also promoting ADM’s full pantry of products and services.Leverage internal relationships, networks, and other ADM divisions to cross sell accounts and show ADM’s value.Power user of Salesforce, BI Analytics, Power BI, logging all pertinent activity and customer notes, managing and updating pipeline.Identify, assemble and report trending areas of interest to product management.Make efforts to achieve the short term sales targets and improve the good will of the organization.Administrative duties to include sales forecasts, contract processes, etc. Responsible for business development—translate customer needs, identify and close technical gaps to create value. Account Manager must be able to identify growth opportunities and industry trends.Assist senior and account managers in developing customer one sheets and sales decks used for customer presentations.Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop a clear understanding of how commodity futures markets influence pricing of products.Manage sales to direct key accounts. The chosen candidate will be able to identify the decision makers at target accounts quickly while continuing to cultivate relationship with all levels of the customer organization. Research, identify and develop strategies to increase sales. Candidates must be skilled at questioning, probing and acting in a timely manner during all stages of the sales process. Develop and coordinate sales plans for new and existing accounts. The appointed candidate will be expected to work closely with Account Managers, Commercial Management, Technical Services, Credit and Customer Service to meet customer needs and business goals. This position requires the ability to have excellent communication, negotiation and closing skills. Accountability and ethics are key traits. Job Requirements:3-5 years of customer service experience and/or 1-2 years in relative sales, marketing, or business development.Bachelor degree in business or science-related field. Ability to build long-term, sustainable business to business relationships within both internal and external organizations.Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential in order to develop relationship with customers.Demonstrated negotiation skills along with the capacity to excel within high risk, fast paced work environment.This position requires good organizational, planning and follow-up skills as well as the ability to work as a team player. This position is also responsible for prospecting and growing of new and existing customers. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is required.
