Brief Description
+ Efficient management of the Inspection Team Leader (ITL) assignments in conjunction with the CLA Assigning Commissioners (ACs).
+ Setting up of preliminary inspector matching for Commissioner approval.
+ Communication with ITLs in preparation of the inspection.
+ Organize and facilitate inspection planning calls and virtual inspections with ITLs and Laboratory Directors (LD).
+ Working with Assigning Commissioners, LAP management, as well as other LAP departments to maintain timely assignments.
Specific Duties
+ Verify whether preliminary inspector matches in the Staff Portal are appropriate and meet the pre-determined criteria for Assigning Commissioner approval.
+ Send each designated Assigning Commissioner a bi-weekly update with the preliminary inspector matches from the Staff portal, the potential matches located manually, and any that require special attention.
+ Contact any potential Inspection Team Leaders or Teams that the Assigning Commissioner has approved to receive preliminary acceptance of assignment.
+ Assign all approved and accepted matches in the Staff Portal.
+ Determine when a team build is required and manage the team build.
+ Monitor and follow up on the Yellow and Red Reports for all events related to Assigning and Inspection in a timely manner.
+ Locate appropriate Inspection Team Leader/Team for all Non-routine inspections in the designated assignment region in a timely manner.
+ Determine when an inspection planning call is needed, coordinate and facilitate the call with the team and the lab.
+ Send designated Assigning Commissioners monthly Team Leader Training Reports and provide information as necessary to ensure proper follow up.
+ Locate or assist in locating supplemental team members that are qualified and trained for any Inspection Team Leader/Team requesting assistance.
+ Ensure that each team is taking the appropriate number of team members which has been approved by LAP management or the Assigning Commissioners.
+ Follow up on all Data Changes that one is notified of through the Staff Portal or through correspondence in a timely manner.
+ Help manage and facilitate virtual inspections when needed.
+ Process and follow up on all Inspection Feedback Reports each month for their designated region(s).
+ Perform other duties as assigned by the Director or Manager.
Knowledge / Skills Required / Preferred
Personal:
+ Excellent communication (oral and written) and negotiation skills.
+ Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills and ability to think critically, multi-task, and prioritize in fast-paced environment.
+ Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

+ Able to produce detailed reports.

Education / Experience
Education:
+ College degree with focus on Sales, Communication, or Data Management skills preferred.
Experience:
+ Minimum 1 year experience in a customer service-oriented setting.

Additional Criteria
The Inspection Assignment Specialist position is based out of the Northfield, IL headquarters. Applicants must reside within a reasonable commute to the office.
