GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This position ensures that oil and gas operators comply with agency rules, regulations, and orders through field inspections, witnessing MITS on injection wells and idle oil and gas wells, performing pre-site inspections, inspecting surface reclamation for bond release, witnessing P&A operations, drilling site inspections, pit inspections, and spill inspections.

+ Works with operators to ensure compliance with agency rules, agency orders, and permit stipulations.
+ Provides technical assistance to public and private interests regarding regulations and practices.
+ Responds to complaints and disputes.
+ Provides investigation and/or documentation for non-compliance issues.
+ Interacts with other state and federal agency officials.
+ Helps provide input on new regulations when necessary.
+ Witnesses tests and operations.
Qualifications
PREFERENCES:
Preference may be given to someone with 5+ years of Oil and Gas Industry experience.
KNOWLEDGE:
+ Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws.
+ Knowledge of agency policies and procedures.
+ Knowledge of methods and techniques of inspections and investigations.
+ Knowledge of office procedures, practices, and equipment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Experience:
0-1 year of progressive work experience (typically in Inspection)
OR
Education & Experience Substitution:
3-4 years of progressive work experience (typically in Inspection)
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
None

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
+ Works in hazardous conditions
