About Us 

Since 1967, we have proudly served Ontario’s nuclear industry. Aecon Nuclear aims to be the partner-of-choicefor key nuclear clients and our dedication to excellence is leading us there. Aecon Nuclear provides a fullspectrum of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) services, in addition to maintenance andmanufacturing services tailored to meet the demanding requirements of the nuclear power industry. 


The joint venture between SNC-Lavalin and Aecon has been awarded a contract with Ontario Power Generation(OPG) to carry out the Darlington Retube and Feeder Replacement (RFR) project. The project involvesrefurbishment of all four reactors at the Darlington Generating Station and consists of two phases – a DefinitionPhase and an Execution Phase. The Definition Phase includes the construction of a full-scale reactor mock-up tosimulate key elements of the refurbishment work, and the development, procurement and testing of specializedtooling required for the project. The Execution Phase involves refurbishment of the reactor cores using the toolsand methods that were developed and tested during the Definition Phase. 


Electrical QC Inspector is responsible for the performance of all quality functions and duties as relatedto the installation of major and minor electrical materials and equipment within their specific project. The positionreports to the Quality Control Supervisor/Manager. 

 

What You Bring To The Team

Perform inspection on high and low voltage electrical materials, components, and equipment in accordancewith the Construction Inspection and Test Plan (CITP) and/or customer specifications. Such inspections shallinclude but not be limited to: Dimensional inspections Review of Material Test Reports Receiving inspection Visual inspections Witness electrical tests such as Megger test, Conductivity test, etc Verify torqueing operations have been performed in accordance with CITP requirements. Verify connections and cables have been terminated in accordance with CITP requirements. Generate and maintain Electrical Construction Inspection and Test Plans using Electrical Codes and customer specifications. Perform In-Process Inspections and Final Inspections in accordance with CITP requirements Complete all associated documentation; Quality Control reports, CITP sign-offsf CITPs, create as-builtdrawings, etc. Verify calibration status of measuring and test equipment prior to use

 

What You Bring To The Team

Graduate secondary school education in QA/QC or a related discipline at the University or College level or aminimum of 1 year work experience in an Electrical QC role. Licensed Journeyman Electrician Good communication and organizational skills Computer literate in MS Office software
