This position is responsible for performing final inspection procedures on a variety of products. Incumbent must be able to read and write English, must be able to read and interpret procedures, specifications, blueprints and drawings. Requires experience and adept skill to use a wide variety of measuring instruments such as but not limited to micrometers, dial indicators, torque and radial clearance gages, verniers, gage blocks, etc. This individual will take direction from the Supervisor or Lead. This position requires good visual acuity skills to determine component compliance to drawings and procedures. These cosmetic and physical attributes are but are not limited to plating coverage, component marking, nicks dents, rust, etc. This position is responsible to use a computer to document findings, locate drawings, procedures and documents necessary to perform the job. Additionally must also be able to organize, accurately file and scan quality documentation and records, to allow for swift retrieval.
Discrepancies that are found must be reported to the supervisor or lead. Must document well to keep appropriate records, keep the area neat and clean, and will periodically move parts from one department to another.
