**_Ensuring Chart’s Success…_**
Inspects the quality and performance of Company products from the receipt of raw materials and component parts in Receiving Department, through the fabrication process, to final test and customer acceptance of the product according to Company, customer and industry standards. Will fill in for supervisor when needed.
**_What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…_**
Technical Skills
· Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations.
· Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
· Ability to work with mathematical concepts
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Essential Functions
· Follows all safety policies and company-wide safety requirements; encourages action assuring safe behavior; confronts unsafe behavior and conditions proactively and positively
· The ability to predictably and regularly attend work and to be punctual
· The ability to deal politely and professionally with coworkers, customers, vendors and visitors
· The ability to follow direction or instruction
· Attends, participates and conducts pre-shift and weekly safety meetings
· Complies with all E&C FINFAN policies and procedures including Attendance, Code of Conduct, PPE/Dress Code, Teamwork, etc
· Inspects the entire fabrication process from the basic unit structure, performance of component parts, specific materials and final product performance to ascertain compliance with customer specifications, Company and industry standards.
· Contacts and arranges outside customer inspections, including communication of holding points.
· Ensures that all hold points on the in-process inspection checklist have been met and products are identified properly.
· Prepares Nonconformity Reports when a problem is detected in the production process. Ensures that corrective actions are taken and are acceptable to the Company and customer.
· Witnesses hydrostatic test to check for leaks and evaluate component performance.
· Inspects work of subcontractors that build, paint and assemble units to ensure compliance with Company standards.
· Communicates engineering related issues to the Engineering Department and transmits solutions to production floor.
· Reviews various test results such as mill test reports, post weld heat treat charts, and defect rate records to ensure products stay within predetermined parameters.
· Inspects materials in Receiving Department for damage, proper size of components, correct heat numbers and appropriate mill test reports according to Company specifications.
· Performs internal and external audits for ASME, ISO and supplier programs as well as internal procedural and system audits to ensure product quality.
· Maintains product traceability program which includes receiving inspection, product identification, material requirements and mill test reports to track product performance throughout the fabrication process.
**_Your Education Should Be…_**
+ Highschool diploma or equivalent
+ Continued employment with E&C FINFAN is contingent upon obtaining the Dye Penetrant Testing Certification (PT) within six (6) months of hire or transfer into this position.
+ Preferred Qualifications:
+ Associate degree in science or QA-QC related discipline
+ Certified in Dye Penetrant Testing
**_Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…_**
!. Physical Requirements of the Position:
Exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
Exert up to 30 pounds of force frequently
Exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly
2. Visual Acuity Requirements of the Position:
The worker is required to have close visual acuity for preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, reading, visual inspection involving small defects, using measurement devices, assembly or fabrication; visual acuity to operate machines such as lathes, drill presses, power saws and mills, welders, grinders, etc. where the seeing job is at or within arm’s reach; visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned, inspect work, etc.
3. Conditions the Employee will be Subject to in this Position:
· Indoor and outdoor environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside.
· Extreme heat. Temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions, such as wind and humidity.
· Noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.
· Vibration to the extremities or whole body.
· Hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current or exposure to chemicals.
· Atmospheric conditions. One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin; fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.
· Small spaces. The worker may be required to function in narrow aisles or passageways.
**_Your Professional Experience Should Be…_**
